On Saturday 25 February 2023 the Directors of Murrayfield Golf Club held their annual dinner in their clubhouse after a lapse of 3 years due to the Pandemic . All their current and past Captains and Directors were invited along with Captains or representatives from several golf clubs including Bruntsfield , Royal Burgess , Mortonhall , Ravelston and from Blackford making up a gathering of 48 diners including a number of Blackford membersBoth Past Captain John Matheson and current Captain Chris Hardie were invited as guests and attended to represent Blackford Golf Club . A sumptuous meal was provided and all were entertained by guest speaker and Murrayfield member Caroline Docherty who is a former Deputy Keeper of the Signet and had a number of legal stories to tell everyone . The vote of thanks was delivered by Murrayfield’s President David Thomson who is also a Blackford member . A very enjoyable evening was had by all “
