On a bright but showery day both teams assembled for lunch which took place in the Sandy Watson room in the clubhouse. The format agreed between the teams was four ball better ball, with strokes award
ed to each player according to handicap difference within each match. The matches and results were as follows:
Match 1 Lawrence Dickson(Captain) and Fergus MacMillan v Sarinder Singh (Captain) and Neil Fitzsimmons. Blackford won 2 up.
Match 2 David Paterson and Chris Hardie v James Garden and Geoffrey Stevenson. Match halved.
Match 3 David Nicolson and Harley Weston v David Graham and Bill Brown. Blackford won 5&4.
Match 4 Colin Stevenson and Colin Glynne-Percy v Brian Duffin and Mike Gregson. New Club won 1 up.
Match 5 Malcolm Davidson (Secretary) and Marcelo Rodriguez v John Flavell-Smith and Derek Reid. Match halved.
Overall result: Blackford 3 New Club 2.
The Stevenson Attic Trophy was therefore retained, and Sarinder Singh presented the trophy to to the winning Captain in the clubhouse. A very enjoyable day, enjoyed by all who participated.
