The second Outing of the Blackford 2022 season took place at Luffness on 15 June in superb weather.
Despite some last minute call offs (including one due to Covid 19 which still casts a lingering shadow), 19 members played and afterwards enjoyed drinks and a delicious meal in the Clubhouse’s comfortable surroundings.
After welcoming Roger Mew as a new member attending his first Outing Captain Chris remarked that the first Blackford Outing to Luffness took place in 1929 and it had been a popular venue for Blackford Outings thereafter; all agreed that it was good to be back at Luffness once again.
Prior to the prize giving Captain Chris announced that he had procured some sample Blackford golf clothing and performed a solo mannequin parade to everyone’s amusement. He was successful in procuring purchase orders from members attending.
The results of the Outing were as follows
3rd place Ranald Naismith 38 points
2nd place Captain Chris Hardie 39 points
the winner was David Macaulay also with 39 points and better inward half.
