Good news is that on Sunday April 16, 2023, Tony Kelly, a Past Captain of Murrayfield but playing for Blackford against Murrayfield Council, got a hole in one
On the 7th hole at Murrayfield Golf Club – witnessed by many, including Captain Chris. Tony looks more than a little pleased.
When was the last time that happened in a Blackford Match ?
Well, it happened at a Blackford Outing back in 2018 when Derek MacGilivray holed an ace at the 7th on Bruntsfield and that was also witnessed by a Captain. John Matheson was watching from the 8th tee with Allan Weir and John Stevenson, when it happened.
Derek MacGillivray celebrated a hole-in-one at the 7th, Bruntsfield Links on August 16th 2018
And those two (Allan and John) came close in 2022 on the 13th at Royal Burgess.
